The benefits of Japanese ‘Forest Bathing’

Sometimes, when we feel really tired, too much pressure or stress, we will think that we need a breath of fresh forest air. In Japan, there’s a practice of ‘Shinrin-yoku’ or ‘forest bathing’. It’s not a type of bath that you can relax inside the tub and enjoy the view of the forest. It’s more like having fun with nature. Besides, shinrin-yoku has a lot of benefits. It has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and strenghten your immune system. Also, with just 30 minutes of walking in the forest can lower your blood pressure and cortisol levels. The aroma from the trees in the forest can heal you from a variety of physical illness. There’s a study says that the scent of the trees also can cure cancer.
